Friends
(Page/Plant)
Bright light almost blinding, black night still there shining,
I can’t stop, keep on climbing, looking for what I knew.
Had a friend, she once told me, “You got love, you ain’t lonely,”
Now she’s gone and left me only looking for what I knew.
Mmm, I’m telling you now, The greatest thing you ever can do now,
Is trade a smile with someone who’s blue now, It’s very easy just…

You’re incomplete, they’ll be no finding looking for what you knew.
So anytime somebody needs you, don’t let them down, although it grieves you,
Some day you’ll need someone like they do, looking for what you knew.
Mmm, I’m telling you now, The greatest thing you ever can do now,
Is trade a smile with someone who’s blue now, It’s very easy just…
Praise the worm! This time…

All those e-mails, all those trojans, all that spam, all those worms, and something good finally came of it.
In Teusday’s (Dec 20, 2005) Yahoo! News from Reuters, a German child-porn collector got busted! He got hit with the Sober worm in his e-mailbox, saying he was ‘under investigation’, so he decided to turn himself in. He’s now in custody. Click the link to get a few more details.
OK, malware is not a good thing in general, but for once, we get to give a small thanks to the jackass who infected so many computers with malicious code before we start cursing the name of his mother again. The virus author can rot in hell, but let him have an ice cube once a century or so.
Sometimes, life just throws us a curveball and we still get a hit ^^

Another .hack//google search!
by Fluxxdog on Nov.28, 2005, under .hack//google, Fluxxdog, Internet News, Uncategorized
This time, the words are “Behind Grocery Cell” which gave this site. reviewjournal.com is the website for the Las Vegas Journal-Review. The article linked to is about one woman’s effort to get a grocery store to pull an ad from television because it depicts someone using a cell phone while behind the wheel.
On one facet, this woman is right in pointing out that driving while using a cell phone does make things more dangerous. This has been established. On the other hand, I don’t believe her assumption that the advertisement encourages the acceptance of “chatting and driving”. People are going to use their cells unless the law says otherwise. And even then, we’ve seen how that’s not 100% effective with seat belts or motorcycle helmets. Still, this woman is trying to do something she believes will make her community a better place, and you gotta respect that.
OK, I’m off to work! Check out the article and chime in with your two cents: Should this lady be praised or locked up? Until next time, enjoy this round of .hack//google!

I hate to be a pessimist but, here it goes….
I’ll bet this Dave guy is either gay or more into the proposal than the girl.
He’ll be using this to get laid for years to come.

Elitist
by Angalee on Nov.11, 2005, under A.D.D, Freedom, Uncategorized
I just left my doctors and refilled my prescription. What this means is I now have an attention span and can write.
O.k I have an attention span but still can’t write.
I need a new drug, Prescription drug of course because if it doesn’t come from a doctor you’ve paid $150 to for 15mins of their time then it’s a crime and your scum.
Fortunately for me I have insurance to cover my dealers…I mean doctors fee.
this is not a rant against the psychiatric community it’s more of a rant about society as a whole. My father said it best with an editorial called Elitist. I am an elitist. I try not to be but struggle with my disgust at the meth addict with no teeth or the pot head from high school that is now a coke addict and still working at the local bar. I do feel superior to these people while I take Adderall like it’s candy and stay up all night playing Zuma. I have alot of growth ahead of me.
Elitist
Elitist thinking plays a major roll in the perpetuation of the failed drug war. The temporary escape of drugs from a life filled with difficulty, poverty, hate and self-loathing is truly intoxicating. For the desperately poor the money from drug sales is an equally intoxicating temptation.
For lives devoid of these miseries the problem is distant and hard to understand. The old expression “driven to drink†is just a colloquialism to most elitists. They are not tempted to risk all that they have with illegal drugs. To them it is nothing more than weakness. They see a difference between taking their prescribed Valium to cope with the stress in their lives and a homeless man smoking a joint under a bridge for the same reason.
Drug abuse is not choosing between lawfulness and criminality, it is choosing a fleeting alternative to despair over the relative slight possibility of punishment in a free society. No matter how draconian these punishments the abuse of drugs continues, as does human misery. Difficult lives become impossible, not because of drugs but because of the drug war.
The elitists see only laws, crime, and punishment. They do not see their position in life as superior they see themselves as superior. They then use their superior position with the government to visit even more misery on the miserable. If these elitists are truly superior then why can they not see how wrong they are?

I was given this T-shirt last night and wanted to share. I think CWA should reevaluate it’s place in the demise of AT&T but there’s not much that can done about it now.
I chose my elbow for HNT because I felt every other part of my body looked fat this morning.

Just venting about Trust in a relationship
by Ursula on Oct.29, 2005, under Enough is Enough, Home Life, Uncategorized
Trust in a relationship is so important. When in a relationship trust, communication and honesty go hand in hand. Feeling like you have done something wrong when you haven’t really sucks the big one. This insert is going to be short and to the point. When your in a relationship don’t assume or go off on your partner until she/he has had an opportunity to discuss with you the situation and what occurred. Then after the conversation has taken place a line of communication has been established which is very healthy & important in a relationship. Thank you for your time, I just had to voice my opinion on this subject.

As I write this, my husband left me on Monday. I don’t know why. I just know he said he’d rather slit his wrists rather than give me or my children any money. I’ve never been so scared in my life. It amazes me how things can just change overnight.
