My Favorite love story

My favorite love story from a movie is between Red and Andy in the film“The Shawshank Redemption”.
No it’s not your traditional love story of blind, reckless romance but rather a story about the love between two men who have a great deal of respect for each other. It was after seeing Shawshank for the first time that I realized all movies are love stories.
I have yet to come across one that isn’t.
My favorite book would have to be Kaye Gibbons “A Virtuous Woman”.
It is a very short book you can read it in just a few hours. What I love about it is how it reaches out and captures the beauty of a human love story rather than a Hollywood generated, knight in shinning armor, yea right love story.
So what inspired this little post? The plethra of ‘BrokeBack Mountain’ parodies that are popping up everywhere.
I haven’t seen ‘Brokeback mountain’ yet but I’m really looking forward to it.
I do feel somewhat guilty for enjoying all the jokes and jabs at such a serious matter. My father is a staunch Gay rights supporter and has always taken offense to comedic jabs at something that is so painful for so many.
So if I’ve offended I’m sincerely sorry.
But as the T-shirt reads ‘If you can’t take a joke….then Fuck You’
Here’s one I just came across “Spongeback Mountain!”
Take special notice of SpongeBobs little pink friends fine ass.
I never would have thought a starfish would have a nice, firm, round tushy. huh.

Wow, I love your comment on Andy and Red in Shawshank. Never thought of that before, but you nailed it perfectly. Thanks.

Honestly, I am voiceless. The Shawshank Redemption is marvelous. I’am not too old film fan, actually, this film came out whenI was born, and thence I’am to a greater extent used to movies with improbable special effects, edge-of-your-seat action, et cetera. This film has none of that, and yet, it appeals so close to me . The way Frank Darabont applies the story of Red to drive on the story, the excellent the movie music applied (note the mouth harp used merely earlier Red finding the letter at the end). The whole movie, from start to finish, from actions to music, is a beacon of hope, assessment, and repurchase. The cast is pure, Morgan Freeman(Red) in reality brings about a refreshing feel to the film, and that’s precisely what the movie is, what a movie should be. Really recommended for every movie fan.
