How to go from “Romantic” to “WTF?!” in 4 panels

I thought this would make an interesting topic: GPF Comics for Oct. 27, 2005 Follow the link and find out how a touching moment suddenly gets very odd.

For those not familiar with the comic series, the “son” mentioned is one of those “sent back in time from a post-apocalyptic future” kind of heroes. He travels back to save his future from their grizzly fate, succeeds, and is about to fade out from existance due to the time paradox when everything goes wrong. His ‘parents-to-be’ aren’t supposed to know about him as well.

GPF comics is one of those comics made by geeks, for geeks. One of the things it seems to attempt to do is dispel some of the stereotypes about those who are geeky. For example, they can fall in love, have lives outside of their geekiness, and shower regularly. Of course, throwing in paradoxical children doesn’t help matters much.

All joking aside, slapping someone with a label before really getting to know them really undermines ourselves as people. We should work towards closing those gaps and realize just how important other people are in our lives, before we get to know them. (That being said, it’s fine to label someone as dangerous if they’ve killed 20 people with a folding chair. Feel free.)

I value you as a friend and I’m sorry for stereotyping you when we first met, I did tell you about that didn’t I? I’m sure I’m different from what you thought when you first met me. I’ll see ya tonight. I love you!

Fluxxdog u are not only funny, but very inciteful. P.S. I tried NOT to think too hard while reading your post lol.
