I know, I’m easily amused.
I believe it stems from my youth. My father is a retired AT&T programmer. When he started with AT&T he was a tech in Atlanta. He took me to his office when I was about 7 and made a call to Hawaii. He showed me where Hawaii was on a map and I couldn’t believe we could talk to someone so far away.
Needless to say my dad’s ranking went up quite a few notches that day.
